Most Haunted Places in Cheshire West and Chester
Chester and its wider district happen to be a wonderful part of the country. Also, it is the most one of the most ancient. The beautiful walled city of Chester has been a fortress of the Roman soldiers, during their period of occupation in England. Why not visit the area because you'll love it? Chester itself has a vast range of haunted inns and hotels.
Of course, the district does not just contain the magnificently haunted cities of Chester. It also includes Northwich. We stayed at the Hartford Hall Hotel for Halloween, 2014. We were under the impression that it is a haunted pub. There are stories about it once being a nunnery, with a nun once found being buried in the walls. It is a lovely hotel and has its own private lake. We were not put off by attempts of staff to tell us that the pub is not haunted. Having mentioned to a member of staff that a nun was buried in the walls of the building, she claimed that it was a bit of hoax. We have written to Marston’s Brewery to receive confirmation about the nun one way or the other. We intend to keep the pub listed as haunted until we receive confirmation from the brewery that it is not haunted.
